Minka

Woof guys!  Its been forever but I am back!  Mommy and daddy have been doing accelerated classes.  I don't woof about college but it seems challenging so I am so proud of my parents!  So lets give them a howl for their success! *howlowlowwwwwwwlllll*

Now let me woof you about what has been goin' on with us animals.  A couple of sad things happened.  Spooty passed away a couple of months ago.  I bawled my eyes out but he was old and lived a great life with mommy and daddy.  Mommy was especially upset so I comforted her as much as I could.  We were all upset.  Also, Minko got out of the house and ran off somewhere.  We don't woof where he is but he hasn't come back yet.  Ooooh, I hope his woof-k. ;.;  If anyone has seen a white cat with grey stripes (or he might be mostly grey stripes) in the Rowan County, NC area please let me know woof away!

There have been a couple good things woofin' on too.  Mommy and daddy adopted a little kitten who's owner was not treating her properly.  She is so tiny we have to be super gentle when we play with her.  Daddy named her Minka after Minko because she has grey stripes just like him but she is all grey.  She is soooo hard to see in shadowy areas.  She is very playful though.  Me an Maya play with her all the time.  She likes to play with Lilly too but its not nice when she tries to bite our tails.  It barkin' hurts *whimper*

The Pawfect Modellette

Maya is such an adorable puppy and so full of energy.  We play all the time but sometimes I get a little rough, woof.  Mommy tells me to be gentle and then I do but it is so woofin' hard when I get caught up in all the fun and excitement!  Minko joins in too and woof-a-days even Cairin gets in on the action!!!  Cairin, of course, is Miss Perfect and always gets it right ;.;

One day, mommy was watching us all play.  She noticed that we each hold certain positions as we tumble and tackle about with one another.  Next thing I know, she clicked and few clacks on her light up chew toy thing then rummaged about for a little bit.  She looked through papers, containers, and a couple boxes until she eventually found what she was looking for.  Her camera.  I don't woof what is so great about that thing that makes too much light.  It hurts my woof-cious eyes but at least we were not sleeping this time.

Then she just started taking pictures.  Next thing you know she grabs Maya and her jacket and snaps a few shots.  She was teasing Cairin, Minko and I because she took out some tasty looking ham to get Maya to pose how she wanted her too.  Maya did not like the camera too much but boy was she ever the vision of cuteness!  Roof you think so???

Mommy said that she is going to start modelling us all.  I am kind of excited because I got a little jealous seeing Maya get all that ham...although...I am also debating whether or not it is worth it.

To see more of Maya's cuteness click here woof now!!!!  Thanks for coming by and please come again!

The Sanctuary's Mascot

Daemon's Sanctuary is coming along nicely.  We have our ducks in a row to start fundraising, we have our first venue lined up and we even have potential animals to start supporting.  Things are looking really great and I am soooo excited!  One more thing we needed to tackle was PR.  We have Elaina who is cuddly and friendly but she is sometimes a bit rough when she wants attention so we have to restrain her a little bit.  There is also me who half the population is afraid of for no apparent reason.  There is Cairin who is out of the question anti-social.  Minko is friendly enough but he hasn't had a whole lot of socializing.  But then...there is one other....

It just so happened that mommy had some other connections in the works.  Don't get me wrong, she does intend to use me and Elaina but she needs a smaller, calmer mascot for dealing with fragile donors.  For instance, if we were to visit an old folks home, Elaina and I are a bit too rough right now for them to handle.  We like to jump up and give kissies which might cause injuries to the more delicate folks.  You woof what I mean?  But good young mommy had a plan that not even daddy saw coming!

Daddy's sister has a male dog (Hobo) and his grandma has a female (Bella).  They are the same breed although I will not disclose it until a little later.  It is a small, cute breed that people swoon over.  Even if they don't know what type of breed it is, generally, small dogs are attention grabbers.  And fluffy but Elaina falls under that category! ;)  Woofyways, Bella had her litter November 11, 2012.  At first mommy nor daddy wanted to take on a puppy because daddy was really mad at his family's decision because they really could not care for more dogs at the time.

Fast forward a month and a half later when mommy had an epiphany.  She jumped up out of her chair and looked at me with beaming eyes that I knew were full of passion.  "I know who is going to be my new mascot, Sana," she exclaimed to me one afternoon.  "Everyone loves puppies, it will be perfect!"  I tried to get her to woof to daddy first but once mommy's mind is set there's not much anyone can do to change it.  So I don't really think it mattered all that much.  Next thing I knew, here comes mommy toting a tiny puppy in her arms and grinning from ear to ear.

All daddy could do when he found out was agree and love the puppy because now she is Daemon's Sanctuary's Mascot.  Please help me in welcoming Maya to our rescue team!  She is now 8 weeks old and a little firecracker!  Keep up with our progress by subscribing to our blog by clicking this link!

Tell me why does mommy always find it necessary to take pictures when I'm sleeping?->

The Lion's Scare!

Is this a dog or a lion!?  I was so woofin' scared when I saw this story on the newwsss.  The place of the incident was Norfolk, VA.  The culprit was a labradoodle named Charles the Monarch who had his hair cut to look like a lion.  I had to woof and look at the screen a couple times before I got it right.  I thought it was a lion too so I hid behind mommy for a while.  Then she dragged me from behind her against my will to show me that it was actually a dog.  Now that I think about it, it really is a pretty cool idea! wol!

Funny Dog Comic Strip

I always love it when mommy laughs.  She is so beautiful!  When anyone laughs it makes you look a few years younger so if you think your face is lookin' a little saggy like a bulldog's just laugh it up! wol!  Woofyways, it turns out that she was laughing at this funny little online comic that I want to share with you all too!  It is from a blog called "The Oatmeal" and is entitled "My Dog: The Paradox".  When I read it I couldn't help but wol (woof out loud) myself not only because it is funny but its true as well!!!  I though of Cairin right away, wol!

It is in a few sections so hopefully I woof it right! :3  Here is the link for your convenience! http://theoatmeal.com/comics/dog_paradox

Funny right? wol, I bet you are in stitches laughing because it is so true.  I guess I am like that too but I woofn't admit it if you gave me a million doggy bones! ;3

Cairin Powder?

Save 15% on Only Natural Pet Brand pet food with code YUMMY ex 10/31/12You woofn't believe what I am about to tell you!  It was so shocking mommy and daddy didn't know what was going on.  I was so worried I started to shake!  And it is all linked to this dog food in the picture.  Lets just say don't feed it to your dog if they are known to have stomach issues but I need to start from the beginning, woofinitely!

Mommy and daddy got it because it was on sale at the grocery store.  Well go figures it was on sale, its not all that good.  I ate it since I'm a good girl but Cairiin is a different story.  Although, she had to eat some to result in what I'm about to show you.

Mommy and I went to visit our grandma for a couple minutes leaving Cairin and Minko home.  It was a really nice visit too.  I love my grandma because she always gives me treats.  Bella isn't too nice to me sometimes but she is being protective so I guess its alright.  Mommy sneaks me inside when Bella isn't paying attention.  She doesn't bully Cairin though...everyone is afraid of Cairin...*whisperjustlikeeveryoneisafraidofmommywhisper* but don't tell her I barked you so ;[  WOL!!!  Nah, like I always joke when I say that but they are really great to be around!  Just no-nonsense, wol!

On our way back mommy smiled and said to me, "I wonder if Cairin and Minko got along while we're gone."  I jumped up to her shoulder and she gave me a quick chin rub while I was falling back down.  I never leave mommy's side though, I have to protect her when daddy is not around!

When we got to the room all we saw was this powdery stuff!  It is literally chunks of powder! Mommy panicked at first because she thought something was seriously wrong with Cairin.  Pooping powder is not a good thing when poop doesn't even resemble powder.  She didn't know what to do because it was late at night and daddy wasn't there either to show.  She was about to try get Cairin to the Animal Emergency Room when she took a closer examination of the stuff on the floor.  Then she realized it was undigested dog food because of the chunks of poop that are along with it.

In other words, Cairin's digestive system was not digesting the dog food.  What junk!  No wonder she didn't want to eat it.  We are never getting this dog food again!  Its awful!  I'm woofin' tellin' you, don't buy something just because its cheapest.  You have to think about it first.  Poor Cairin, at least she has the good stuff to eat from now on~!
